U potrazi za inspiracijom za svoj novi roman, Silvi krišom posmatra komšije preko puta. Kada zaposli mladog Adama da joj pomaže u svakodnevnom životu, ni ne sluti da će on preokrenuti njen život i rad, sve dok fikcija koju je zamislila ne zasjeni njihovu zajedničku stvarnost.
In search of inspiration for her new novel, Sylvie spies on the neighbours across the street. When she hires young Adam to help with her daily life, she has no idea he will upend her life and her work, until the fiction she had imagined eclipses their shared reality.

Asghar Farhadi je rođen u Iranu. Režirao je svoj prvi film Ples u prašini (2003), a potom i Prelijepi grad (2004). Film O Eli (2009) osvojio je Srebrnog medvjeda za najbolju režiju na festivalu u Berlinu. Njegov film Razvod (2011) postao je senzacija. Dobio je pohvale kritike u Iranu i širom svijeta, kao i brojne nagrade, među kojima i Oskara za najbolji film van engleskog govornog područja, čime je Farhadi postao prvi iranski filmski reditelj koji je osvojio Oskara. Asghar Farhadi was born in Iran. He made his directorial debut with Dance in the Dust (2003) and Beautiful City (2004). About Elly (2009) won the Silver Bear for Best Director in Berlin. His film A Separation (2011) became a sensation. It got critical acclaim inside and outside of Iran; it was awarded many prizes, among them the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, making him the first Iranian filmmaker ever to win an Oscar. Back in Iran, Farhadi made The Salesman. The film brought the second Oscar for Iran in the Best Foreign Language Film category. Farhadi’s film, A Hero, was awarded Grand Prix at the
Festival de Cannes.

Sinopsis / Synopsis:
Lena, dvadesetogodišnja djevojka, živi u malom, prenatrpanom stanu u Atini. Rastrzana između porodičnih očekivanja, siromaštva i želje za samostalnošću, njena svakodnevica odvija se u jednoličnom ritmu. Njen san je jednostavan – da se odseli i započne život po sopstvenim pravilima, daleko od toksičnog okruženja u kojem je odrasla. Ta krhka ravnoteža ruši se kada Lena izgubi posao. Gotovo istovremeno saznaje da je trudna. U svijetu u kojem ništa nije izvjesno, novi život koji nosi u sebi postaje istovremeno teret i mogućnost.
Lena, a twenty-year-old woman, lives in a small, overcrowded apartment in Athens. Torn between family expectations, poverty, and her desire for independence, her daily life follows a monotonous routine. Her dream is simple – to move out and start a life on her own terms, far from the toxic environment in which she grew up. This fragile balance is shattered when Lena loses her job. Almost at the same time, she discovers that she is pregnant. In a world where nothing is certain, the new life growing inside her becomes both a burden and a possibility.
O rediteljki / Director’s bio:
Amerissa Basta je grčka filmska rediteljka i scenaristkinja. Diplomirala je na Univerzitetu Panteion u Atini, gdje je stekla zvanje mastera iz oblasti kulturnog menadžmenta. Potom je završila master studije kreativnog pisanja i scenaristike na Aristotelovom univerzitetu u Solunu, dodatno usavršavajući vještine u oblasti naracije i filmske produkcije. Od 2010. godine aktivno se bavi filmom, kao scenaristkinja i rediteljka brojnih kratkometražnih ostvarenja koja su prikazana i nagrađivana na međunarodnim filmskim festivalima. Život u ritmu (2025) njen je prvi dugometražni igrani film.
Amerissa Basta is a Greek film director and screenwriter. She graduated from Panteion University in Athens, where she obtained a master’s degree in cultural management. She later completed a master’s degree in creative writing and screenwriting at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, further developing her skills in storytelling and film production. Since 2010, she has been actively working in film as a screenwriter and director of numerous short films that have been screened and awarded at international film festivals. Life in a beat (2025) is her first feature-length fiction film.
