Sinopsis / Synopsis: Renoviranje je neobičan, divan film koji se ponekad graniči sa
suvoparnom dramom vođenom situacionom ironijom prolazeći kroz sentimentalne
romantične teme. Dvadesetdevetogodišnja Ilona (Žigimante Elena Jakštajte) – novinarka iz
Norveške koja radi od kuće, i njen dečko Matas (Šarunas Zenkâvičijus) useljavaju se u novi
stan baš kada počinju masovni, bučni radovi na renoviranju zgrade. Ilona, koja se zbog buke
uopšte ne može skoncentrisati na posao, je ljuta dok Matas djeluje bezbrižno. Dok se fasada zgrade iz sovjetskog doba popravlja, pukotine se otkrivaju u Iloninom, naizgled savršenom
životu, što se dodatno pogoršava tenzijama u vezi sa njenim partnerom kada se Ilona zbliži sa
Olegom (Roman Lucki), ukrajinskim radnikom koji pomaže u izgradnji zgrade.

Renovation is a curious, delightful beast that, at times, borders on a dry-humoured dramedy
driven by situational irony while at other times taking on the sentimental romantic themes
of a work. Twenty-nine-year-old Ilona (Žygimantė Elena Jakštaitė) – a work-from-home
journalist from Norway – and her boyfriend Matas (Šarūnas Zenkevičius) move into a new
flat right as a massive, noisy bout of renovation work is beginning. Ilona, who can’t
concentrate on her work at all with the noise, is pissed off; meanwhile, Matas appears
unbothered. While the building’s Soviet-era façade is being fixed up, cracks reveal
themselves in Ilona’s seemingly perfect life, furthered by relationship tensions with her
partner when she hits it off with Oleg (Roman Lutskyi), a Ukrainian worker helping with the
titular construction.

O reditelju / Director’s bio: Gabrijele Urbonajte (rođena u Viljnusu 1993. godine) počela je
profesionalno da se interesuje za film sa 14 godina, kada se pridružila Filmskoj akademiji
„Skalvija“, dugoročnoj praktičnoj radionici za mlade u Litvaniji, gdje je počela da snima kratke
filmove. Nakon srednje škole, Gabrijele se preselila u Pariz, gdje je studirala filozofiju i
obavljala praksu u kompaniji za dokumentarnu produkciju Momento Films. 2012. godine
učestvovala je na Berlinale Talent Kampusu i Berlin Documentary Forumu. 2013. godine,
Gabrijele se preselila u Boston, u SAD-u, da bi studirala filmsku produkciju na Emerson
Koledžu.
Gabrielė Urbonaitė (born in Vilnius, in 1993) became professionally interested in film at the
age of 14, when she joined ‘Skalvija’ Film Academy, a long-term hands-on workshop for
youth in Lithuania, where she started making short films. After high school, Gabrielė moved
to Paris, where she studied philosophy and interned at the documentary production
company Momento Films. In 2012, she participated in Berlinale Talent Campus and Berlin
Documentary Forum. In 2013, Gabrielė moved to Boston, USA, to study film production at
Emerson College.

Sinopsis / Synopsis: Prilikom vikend putovanja na selo, Laura pukom srećom preživljava
saobraćajnu nesreću. Fizički nepovrijeđenu, ali duboko potresenu, prihvata je mještanka koja
je bila svjedok nesreće i sada brine o Lauri s majčinskom brižnošću. Kada njen muž i odrasli
sin odustanu od početnog otpora prema Laurinom prisustvu, njih četvoro polako počinju da
grade porodičnu rutinu. Međutim, uskoro, više ne mogu ignorisati svoju prošlost…

On a weekend trip to the countryside, Laura miraculously survives a car crash. Physically
unhurt but deeply shaken, she is taken in by a local woman who witnessed the accident and
now cares for Laura with motherly devotion. When her husband and adult son also give up
their initial resistance to Laura’s presence, the four of them slowly build up some family-like
routine. But soon they can no longer ignore their past…
O reditelju / Director’s bio: Rođen u Hildenu 1960. godine, Kristijan Pecold se preselio u
Berlin 1981. godine. Prvo je studirao njemački jezik, književnost i dramu na Ful Arč akademiji
u Berlinu. Nakon toga uslijedile su studije na Nemačkoj akademiji za film i televiziju u Berlinu,
u periodu od 1988. do 1994. godine, kada je bio asistent reditelja Haruna Farockog i
Hartmuta Bitomskog. Režirao je svoju prvu dramu 1995. godine, i njegov film „DIE INNERE
SICHERHEIT’’ (2000) dobio je Zlatnu njemačku filmsku nagradu. Dva puta je učestvovao u
takmičarskom programu Berlinalea sa svojim filmovima ‘GESPENSTER’ i ‘YELLA’. Kristijan
Pecold je osvojio Srebrnog medvjeda za najbolju režiju na Berlinaleu 2012. godine za film
„BARBARA”.
Born in Hilden in 1960, Christian Petzold moved to Berlin in 1981, first studying German
language and literature and drama at the FU in Berlin. This was followed by studies at the
German Film and Television Academy (dffb) in Berlin from 1988-94, during which time he
was assistant director to Harun Farocki and Hartmut Bitomsky. Directing his first drama in
1995, his film ‘DIE INNERE SICHERHEIT’ (2000) received a Gold German Film Award. He has
taken part in the Berlinale’s Competition programme twice with his films ‘GESPENSTER’ and
‘YELLA’. Christian Petzold won the Silver Bear for Best director at the 2012 Berlinale for
‘BARBARA’.
