Sinopsis / Synopsis: Sirat je drama koja prati jednog oca koji, zajedno sa sinom, traga za
nestalom kćerkom, u pustinjama južnog Maroka. Riječ je o koprodukciji Španije i Francuske.
Film je imao svjetsku premijeru u glavnoj konkurenciji 78. Filmskog festivala u Kanu, 15.
maja 2025. godine, gdje je osvojio nagradu žirija.
Sirāt is a drama film which follows a father’s search for his missing daughter in the deserts
of southern Morocco, accompanied by his son. It is a co-production between Spain and

France. The film had its world premiere in the main competition of the 78 th Cannes Film
Festival on 15 Maj 15 2025, where it won the Jury Prize.
O reditelju / Director’s bio: Oliver Laks Koro, rođen 11. aprila 1982. godine, je španski filmski
reditelj, scenarista i glumac francuskog porijekla. Njegov debitantski dugometražni film, „Svi
ste kapetani“, premijerno je prikazan na Filmskom festivalu u Kanu 2010. godine, gdje je
dobio nagradu FIPRESCI u okviru programa „Quinzaine des Réalisateurs“. Njegov drugi
dugometražni film, „Mimoze“, snimljen je u Atlaskim planinama i osvojio je glavnu nagradu
Nespreso u programu „Critic’s Week“ na Filmskom festivalu u Kanu 2016. godine. Njegov
treći dugometražni film, „Vatra će doći“, odabran je za program „Un Certain Regard“ na
Filmskom festivalu u Kanu 2019. godine, osvojivši nagradu žirija. Njegov četvrti
dugometražni film, „Sirat“, premijerno je prikazan u takmičarskom programu na Filmskom
festivalu u Kanu 2025. godine i osvojio nagradu žirija.
Oliver Laxe Coro, born 11 April 1982, is a French-born Spanish film director,
screenwriter and actor. His feature directorial debut, ‘You All Are Captains’, premiered at
the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, where it received the FIPRESCI Prize in the Quinzaine des
Réalisateurs. His second feature, ‘Mimosas’, was filmed in the Atlas Mountains and won the
Nespresso Grand Prize in the Critic’s Week section at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. His
third feature, ‘Fire Will Come’, was selected for the Un Certain Regard section at the 2019
Cannes Film Festival, earning the Jury Prize. His fourth feature, ‘Sirāt’, premiered in
Competition at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and won the Jury Prize.

Sinopsis / Synopsis: Život sedamnaestogodišnjeg Kristija je na raskrsnici. Upravo je izbačen iz
svog udobnog prigradskog hraniteljskog doma i preselio se kod svog otuđenog starijeg brata
Šejna, koji živi u radničkom, sjevernom dijelu Korka. Što se Šejna tiče, ovo je samo privremeni
aranžman. Ali Kristi počinje da se osjeća kao kod kuće, uključuje se u lokalnu zajednicu i stiče
prijatelje. I, uprkos lošoj reputaciji svoje šire porodice, on se ponovo povezuje sa svojom
prošlošću – iako Šejn pokušava da ga odvrati od te ideje.
The life of 17-year-old Christy is at a crossroads. He has just been thrown out of his
comfortable suburban foster home and moved in with his estranged older brother Shane, who lives in Cork’s working-class north side. As far as Shane is concerned, this is just a
temporary arrangement. But Christy begins to feel at home, becomes involved in the local
community and makes friends. And, in spite of the bad reputation of his extended family, he
also reconnects with his past – even though Shane tries to steer him away from this crowd.

O reditelju / Director’s bio: Brendan Kanti je prokrčio svoj put kao jedan od najuzbudljivijih i
najplodnijih irskih reditelja. Njegova rana karijera doživjela je veliki uspjeh sa Hozijerovim
spotom za pjesmu „Take Me to Church“ (koji je od tada premašio milijardu pregleda na
Jutjubu, zajedno sa dvije nominacije za MTV VMA nagrade). Brendan je 2019. godine režirao
drugi kratki film – „Kristi“, koji je kasnije pretvorio u svoj debitantski dugometražni film, koji je
svjetsku premijeru imao na Berlinskom filmskom festival.
Brendan Canty has forged his way as one of the most exciting and prolific Irish directors.
His early career enjoyed large success with his video for Hozier’s ‘Take Me to Church’ (which
has since surpassed a billion views on Youtube along with two MTV VMA nominations).
In 2017 Brendan directed ‘For You’ (starring Barry Keoghan) which went on to win a Kinsale
Shark and was nominated for an IFTA. In 2019, Brendan directed a second short film –
‘Christy’, which he has since made into his debut feature with BBC Film and Screen Ireland,
which had it’s world premiere at the Berlinale Film Festival.
